The Oklahoma City Thunder have recalled Aleksej Pokusevski from the G League Bubble.

This news should not be all that surprising. The G League season is almost over and the NBA is on its All-Star Break, so bringing Poku back now is ideal.

Poku was initially sent to the OKC Blue in order for him to get more playing time than he would have received with the Thunder.

In 13 G League games, Poku averaged 7.9 points per game (PPG), 7.3 rebounds per game (RPG), and 4.0 assists per game (APG) in 25.2 minutes.

The 19-year-old is averaging 3.3 PPG, 3.5 RPG, and 1.2 APG in 17 NBA games this season.

I expect Poku will have a similar role for the second half of the season for the Thunder, where he is coming off the bench and playing around 17 minutes a night.

More minutes could be freed up for Poku if players like Mike Muscala, Al Horford, or Kenrich Williams get traded soon.

Poku joins Ty Jerome on the Thunder bench as a fellow G Leaguer who started the Orlando Bubble with the OKC Blue but soon got called back up with the main team.
