In a PR statement released Monday afternoon, the Oklahoma City Thunder announced that the team has picked up the options for Darius Bazley, Ty Jerome and Aleksej Pokusevski.
Bazley and Jerome were drafted in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft while Pokusevski was drafted in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft.
None of these moves should be surprising. All three have played well enough at this point of their NBA careers to get their options picked up. Both Bazley and Jerome will be extension eligible this upcoming summer, which means this is essentially a make-or-break it season for both when it comes to their future with the team.
The deadline to make a decision for rookie scale team options is Nov. 1. The Thunder decided not to waste time and pick them up a week before.
