On Friday, the NBA announced that playoff games would resume Saturday.

In a press release, which was jointly released by the league and players association, it was announced that a social justice coalition was being formed. Teams and players agreed that arenas would be converted into polling sites for the 2020 general election, as well as creating advertisement spots to promote civic engagement and awareness.

This is a great, big, and concrete action by both the league and players - to come together to make things happen.

Chris Paul spoke to reporters after the announcement and he said it’s “definitely been an emotional past couple of days.”

“Everyone expects us to go out and play. I get it,” Paul said. “But we needed some time.”

The Oklahoma City Thunder posted on social media to support CP3.

Times for the games on Saturday have not been announced.
