It looks like longtime Oklahoma City Thunder executive Tory Weaver will finally get to be a general manager.

According to New York TImes’ Marc Stein, Weaver is the Detroit Pistons’ first choice.

The Pistons are also interested in Clippers’ assistant GM Mark Hughes and Nets assistant GM Jeff Peterson, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported.

Weaver has been with the Thunder organization for over a decade and is currently the vice president of basketball operations.

Before joining the Thunder, Weaver was the head scout and director of player personnel for the Utah Jazz.

According to our sister site Detroit Bad Boys, if Weaver is named the Pistons’ GM, he would be the seventh black GM in the league.
