A week ago, SB Nation’s Mike Prada began a series called ‘Titleless,’ which consisted of teams never to hoist up the Larry O’Brien championship trophy.

On top of fan voting, SB Nation added another way to crown a winner:

• Simulate a seven-game series for each matchup on WhatifSports.com. The higher seed will have a home-court advantage.

In the first round of voting, the 2011-12 Thunder advanced over the 2007-08 New Orleans Hornets.

This game was the simulation series of the first round. It went the distance, with Chris Paul dominating and none of the Thunder Big 3 having consistent set. The Hornets led Game 7 by one point with six seconds left, but Kevin Durant nailed a runner with six seconds left to give OKC the lead. New Orleans’ last chance ended when David West got swatted by Serge Ibaka, and OKC held on.

In the second round, the Clyde Drexler-led Blazers (1990-91) will take on the Kevin Durant/Russell Westbrook/James Harden Thunder in the next round of play.
