The Oklahoma City Thunder fell to the Denver Nuggets on the road, 121-112. In a key divisional matchup, OKC once again revealed they are not up to the level of the Nuggets, who now take a 4 game lead in the Western Conference standings.
While the Thunder showed grit and resolve in coming back from an 18 point 2nd half deficit to take a brief lead late in the game, from there on out their energies stalled and Denver methodically put away OKC. Paul George once again struggled against the Nuggets’ defense, shooting only 7-24 and 3-14 from three.
The Thunder now must quickly regroup to face the 76ers at home Thursday. OKC still is struggling to put things together on both ends of the court, and Philly will present another needed opportunity to play a complete game.
(apologies for the late and abbreviated recap — my internet went out right as the game ended)
