After a gutsy showing on opening night against the Utah Jazz the Thunder came out tonight and had zero urgency, zero finesse — let’s be honest with ourselves people. This was not a good game at all for the Thunder.
The team spent most of the game trailing to a Wizards team that many expect to finish near last or dead last in wins this season. Bradley Beal is their best player by a long shot and it’s paper, rock, scissors after that.
The Thunder managed to tie the game up at 83-83 with just over three minutes left in the game. After that the Wizers took over and finished the game on a 14-2 run.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished the game with 28 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Danilo Gallinari was the only member of the Thunder in double-digits with 18 points.
Chris Paul had six points and four assists. Steven Adams contributed 14 rebounds.
Thunder have Stephen Curry and the Warriors in town on Sunday at 2:30. Hopefully they have a better showing then than tonight.
