The Thunder round out their 2018 pre-season tonight in Oklahoma City by taking on the Milwaukee Bucks, aka Giannis and the Other Guys.

When we last saw Giannis Antetokounmpo, he looked like he was auditioning for the position of Thanos’ understudy:

Who knows how long he, as well as the Thunder main guys will go tonight in OKC’s final brush up for the regular season, which makes tonight primarily an experience about watching for what the role players will be up to.

Dennis Schroder is quickly becoming a known quantity. His talent is considerable, and we have yet to see him unleash that skillset on second units, but of course his mental acuity is still in question as we head into the season.

The shooting guard spot is still up in the air, as Ben Mertens examined. And of course we still don’t know which way Billy Donovan will go at power forward. Unfortunately for the PF spot, neither Patrick Patterson nor Jerami Grant have stepped up to seize the day, but if we just judge by who is more consistent at this point, 2Pat seems to be the favorite.

Meanwhile, rookie Hamidou Diallo has turned some heads in the past two games, and he may be cementing a spot in the rotation. Look for him to continue to make an impression tonight.

In the end, we likely won’t see much suspense, but let’s pay attention to these open questions as Donovan will be as well.
