The Ringer recently took a deep dive into the life and career of Enes Kanter, one of many social media escapades and international intrigue.

In the piece, Kanter spoke about his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder, specifically his first year with the team.

“That season, he says, was the most fun he’s ever had playing basketball. He bought a house in Oklahoma. He built deeper relationships with teammates than he had anywhere else. He began to carve out a life for himself in this country, a locker room and fan favorite on one of the NBA’s best teams.”

Jordan Ritter Con also included some quotes from his Q&A at a basketball camp in Honolulu, Hawaii. His best teammate? “You have to love all your teammates, but if I had to pick one, I would pick two. Russell Westbrook and Steven Adams.” Kanter said that when he was detained in Romania, they both immediately texted him.

Kanter also talks about his relationship with Kevin Durant, and what it was like being in OKC when he departed to Golden State.
