Ever since Golden State’s Championship title last season, Kevin Durant has been quite the social butterfly on twitter — sometimes to his own detriment.

This past Sunday, Durant was caught allegedly attempting to tweet on a ghost or alias account, but mistakenly tweeting from his own official Twitter account. He aimed his insulting tweets at his former OKC squad, and even went on to give his opinion on Thunder head coach, Billy Donovan.

On Tuesday while attending a the TechCrunch tech convention, Durant was unsurprisingly questioned about his social media mishandling, and replied with an apology. He admitted his actions were “childish” and “idiotic,” and said he regrets using his “former coach’s name and the former organization I played for.” Though the situation seemed to be quite embarrassing and regretful on his part, the mishap brought out the best of social media with comedic tweets and memes aimed at Durant.

Golden State faces off against the Thunder for the first of the season in Oklahoma City on November 22nd, at 7:00 PM EST.
