Russell Westbrook ties Oscar Robertson’s 55-year-old single-season triple double mark vs. Milwaukee Bucks

Behind a durable opening half, Russell Westbrook has matched Oscar Robertson's half-century triple-double mark with 12 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists as the Oklahoma City Thunder currently hold a dominant third-quarter lead over the visiting Milwaukee Bucks.

Westbrook now joins Robertson as the only other NBA player to amass 41 triple-doubles in a season. Robertson, a 1980 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Inductee, set the long-standing record in 61-62'.

Following tonight’s tilt vs. Milwaukee, as four regular-season contests remain, Westbrook will gain his first chance to re-write NBA history tomorrow vs. Memphis.

The 6’3 guard’s record-tying rebound and assist came with just over nine minutes to play in the contest’s third-quarter.
