Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Minnesota Timberwolves game thread and odds

New, comments

As OKC readies for a set first-round playoff matchup, will Minnesota provide a glimpse of the future?

NBA: Oklahoma City Thunder at Denver Nuggets Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

The Oklahoma City Thunder enter playoff-preparation mode tonight vs. the home standing Minnesota Timberwolves.

Following an uncanny performance vs. Denver, single-season triple-double leader Russell Westbrook will not compete tonight against the Timberwolves. Joining Westbrook on the sideline for this evening’s penultimate regular-season affair will be Thunder regulars Andre Roberson, Taj Gibson, and Doug McDermott.

Ahead of OKC’s already established first-round series vs. Houston, Head Coach Billy Donovan has elected to rest his versatile star, along with the afforementioned three key contributors.

Meanwhile, provocative, yet having dropped four-straight, the Timberwolves will look to feast on OKC’s second and third-unit lineups.

Though not a true competitive entity, OKC vs. Minnesota should provide atypical entertainment value.

  • 8 PM ET
  • Venue: Target Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota
  • TV: NBA TV, FSOK

ODDS:

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER: +4.5

Although sporting a sizable record discrepancy, due to Westbrook’s absence, Minnesota holds a respectable line for tonight’s tilt vs. OKC.
