Thunder vs Nuggets preview: OKC tries to get back to .500 without Steven Adams.

Thunder still trying to find whatever it is they lost.

NBA: Oklahoma City Thunder at Denver Nuggets Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

The Oklahoma City Thunder return to Chesapeake Energy Arena to face the Denver Nuggets at 7:00 pm cst.

Generally when a team wins 2 out of 3 on the road it is deemed a success. But the struggles in the wins coupled with the extended loss of Steven Adams to the league’s concussion protocol for a second game in a row just doesn’t feel as satisfying as it should.

The coaches and players continue to say they are trying to find their groove offensively. But let’s face it, almost an entire college basketball season of games has passed, after 29 games you begin to wonder if this mysterious chemistry the Thunder is looking for is actually Ahab’s great white whale, Moby Dick.

Steven Adam’s absence leaves the Thunder with the rookie, Dakari Johnson, or Patrick Patterson to deal with Denver’s Nikola Jokic and the Thunder are already 1 game down to the Nuggets after dropping a 102 to 94 affair at the Pepsi Center on November 9th.
