According to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, superstar free-agent Kevin Durant will begin courting off-season suitors from New York, July 1. Durant's representatives at Roc Nation Sports are said to be in close contact with the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat and Boston Celtics concerning prized-meetings with their client.

Though the Thunder remain atop Durant's list of off-season options, the 2014 league MVP stated his ultimate goal is to sign with the organization most likely to bolster his chances of capturing an elusive NBA Championship. As such, rumblings around the league have indicated Durant holds a keen interest with the Golden State Warriors.

If Durant, who will make a decision regarding with whom he'll sign no later than July 9, were to spurn his cadre of pursuers in favor of incumbent Oklahoma City, it would likely come in the form of a "one and one" deal. A contract of this nature would allow Durant, 27, the leverage to opt out in 2017, when another significant league-wide salary-cap rise is expected to occur.

Currently, a nature of unpredictability surrounds the Thunder organization pursuant to the draft-day trade of Serge Ibaka. As teams jockey for position and favor with Durant, the basketball world will wait with bated breath for the next two weeks.
