The move comes with a mixture of surprise and finality, as the Thunder have been entertaining offers for Ibaka for a while, but never pulled the trigger until now.

The Thunder acquire 3rd year shooting guard Victor Oladipo, 8th year power forward Ersan Ilyasova, and the rights to the Magic's 11th pick in the 2016 NBA draft, Domantas Sabonis out of Gonzaga.
While the ramifications of the trade are still shaking out, the acquisition of Oladipo and the pending restricted free agency of Dion Waiters likely means that OKC will not be matching any contract offers for Waiters this summer, and current starting SG Andre Roberson coming off of his best year as a pro.
The Thunder making this move makes it virtually a guarantee they won't match on an offer sheet for Dion Waiters this summer.
