Update: Check out this interview I did yesterday with On the NBA beat! We talk about the series as a whole and how it all plays into Game 7.
And here we sit, one game away from deciding it all. Six games couldn't separate these two legendary teams, and they're going to have to settle it tonight.
Both teams are going to have to pull off something amazing to win tonight. The Thunder can't win without team oriented play from their superstars. The Warriors can't win without their superstars hitting a ton of threes. We all know the drill by now.
There's going to be a lot of chess played between the coaches as well. How long can Bogut and Roberson stay on the floor without invoking foul trouble? Will either coach be able to get away with the flaws of Festus Ezeli or Enes Kanter? How much of the Warriors death lineup will we see? Can Draymond Green and Dion Waiters overcome their mental shortcomings? Can Serge Ibaka and Harrison Barnes stay involved? Questions abound.
One thing is for certain: We're going to see a lot of emotion tonight. Either it'll be a battle tested Thunder team finally getting back to the promise land, or a historically great Warrior team continuing their dynasty. Both wins would mean huge victories for their respective franchises.
Whatever happens tonight, as a Thunder fan I'm taking solace in the fact that we were competitive, and that we got this far. OKC was written off by all the experts this season, and we've proven them wrong.
Now let's take that last step into the pantheon of historical greats.
Inspirational quotes:
- "Thunderup." -Nenad Krstic
- "Oh, I don't know if you've trapped an animal." -Steven Adams
- "I cannot see the future." -Enes Kanter

- "KD, he's so cool." -Serge Ibaka
- "Don't get it twisted. I do this." -Russell Westbrook
- "Jolly rancher. That's a funny name. What does a ranch have to be so jolly about?" -Kevin Durant
- "...." -Andre Roberson
Prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder 1000, Golden State Warriors 13.
