OKC Thunder Podcast: Loud Noises - episode 31; Thunder/Warriors Western Conference Finals preview with Golden State of Mind

New, comment

Golden State of Mind's Andrew Flohr joins the show to discuss the exciting Thunder/Warriors matchup, what the Thunder can do to pull off the upset, and predict which team will represent the Western Conference in the NBA Finals.

I recorded the previous episode a mere hour after the Thunder pulled off the (not really) upset of the Spurs, so my emotions were too raw to really give much thought to the matchup with the Warriors that, realistically, we've known was inevitable since November.

I used this basketball-less weekend to A) Get my real life in order and actually enjoy the real world surroundings for a bit without stressing over the Thunder Era coming to an end and B) Think about every single possible way the Thunder could conceivably pull off an upset. At first, I was just happy that the Thunder ousted the Spurs and proved themselves worthy of being in that championship conversation. But now that it's actually here? Man, I really want them to keep proving everyone wrong.

It certainly won't be easy, but as my guest and I discuss in this week's episode, it isn't as impossible as I thought it would be even as recently as a few nights ago. Speaking of my guest, his name is Andrew Flohr and he's a writer at SB Nation's Golden State of Mind. One thing I think you'll get from both of us: We're not totally sure who's going to win, but we're both beyond excited for what should be a entertaining-as-all-hell series.

Listen in as we break down just about every aspect of the series, from Russ/KD vs. Steph/Klay/Dray, Bogut vs. Adams, bench vs. bench, Serge vs. himself and anything else that may affect the Thunder pulling off the upset.

As always, you can subscribe to the Loud Noises Podcast on iTunes and Stitcher If you could leave a review while you're there, that'd be super cool.
