Team USA released their full list of Las Vegas mini-camp invitees yesterday. Russell Westbrook was confirmed to be on the list. Because Westbrook will attend the camp, he remains eligible for Team USA's olympic squad in 2016.
Kevin Durant was also on the list of invitees. It was previously reported that Durant would attend the camp, but not participate in drills. Durant has been sidelined with a foot injury since March 27th, and expects to be fully cleared to play some time this month.
The mini-camp will with private practices on August 11th and 12th. On August 13th, the camp will conclude with the Blue vs. White showcase game at the Thomas and Mack Center.
Previously, Durant and Westbrook played for Team USA during the 2010 World Championship and the 2012 Olympics. Both teams finished with a gold medal. Should Durant and Westbrook be healthy and willing in 2016, they are virtual locks for the roster.
