The Thunder continue to gear up for the 2015-16 season, and have now announced their pre-season schedule.
The biggest news is that the Thunder will not play a pre-season game in Wichita. In years past, the Thunder have played a game in the Kansas town to sold out crowds. Instead, Big Blue will opt to play another pre-season home game in Oklahoma City this year.
That extra pre-season game in Oklahoma City is to accomodate Fenerbache Ulker, a visiting Euroleague club. The Istanbul-based team should prove a tough opponent, having placed fourth in last year's Euroleague competition. It will be an interesting game for Enes Kanter, whom considers Fenerbache responsible for ruining his college eligibility. The OKC-Fenerbahce clash, scheduled for October 9th, will be the second meeting between the two teams. The first occurred on October 5th, 2013. The Thunder won that one, 95-82.
Despite Wichita's loss, Tulsa will still get a taste of NBA Basketball. On October 13th, the Thunder will take on the rival Mavericks inside of the BOK Center.
Other than the trip to Tulsa, the Thunder will not travel outside of normal NBA destinations. Road trips will include Minnesota on October 7th, Dallas on October 13th, and Utah on October 20th.
Following the conclusion of the pre-season, the Thunder will kick off their regular season schedule at home against the Spurs on October 28th.
