On this edition of the Phil Naessens Show, we recount the Thunder's up and down week, and then ask a question that needs to be answered in the next few months - is Enes Kanter a max level player?

From Naessens:

Is Kanter really a max player? Offensively he is. He’s averaging 17.3 points per game (13.8 with the Jazz), 10.7 rebounds a game (7.8 with the Thunder) so on that end of the floor you give him the max and smile while doing so.

Unfortunately that’s where the smiling ends. Defensively Kanter is a liability. With Kanter on the floor the Oklahoma City Thunder give up 109 points per 100 possessions and 103 points per 100 possessions when he isn’t on the floor. Six points might not seem like that big of a deal but in the NBA its middle of the road and that’s not where I believe the Oklahoma City Thunder, or their fans should expect from a max player.

Listen in!
