Box Score | Grizzly Bear Blues
After blowing a very winnable game on Wednesday night to the New York Knicks, the Oklahoma City Thunder had two days off, a "healthy" Kevin Durant and a sense of urgency heading into their game Saturday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. Unfortunately, none of that matter and the Thunder looked like a that did not care and struggled to score in the second half, falling to the Grizzlies, 85-74
What is your initial reaction to tonight's result?
I think it is time to officially pull the plug on Scott Brooks, nothing he's done lately has worked and you can't consistently rely on Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook to bail you out on any given night or situation, the league has caught up to the Thunder and so have the bodies of Durant and Westbrook.
The Thunder flat out quit in the fourth quarter of tonight's game and some one needs to be held accountable.
What was, overall, the main reason why the Thunder lost?
Besides quitting in the fourth quarter? The Thunder only got 22 points in paint, Durant and Westbrook combined for a combined 31 points on 10-32 shooting, only getting to the line ten times while being 1-8 from three.
The Thunder bench scored 23 points, led by Dion Waiters seven. They were a combined 9-31 from the field, Waiters was 3-14 himself, including two missed layups. That's not the low point though, Westbrook is the first player in NBA history to airball a layup/dunk attempt in three straight games.
Thunder shot under 35% for the game.
