In an Interview with USA TODAY Sports, Kevin Durant spoke enough to shut down all the rumors that speak about his future and also reinforced what OKC means to him. Check out full interview here.

Before we get into the topic, let us wish Kevin Durant a 26th happy birthday first.

Kevin Durant knows how people are eager to know about his future and it doesn't surprise him at all, but at the same time he can't predict the future as all what he is thinking of currently is his present. He enjoys settling down at Oklahoma City as well as playing beside his teammates.

"We'll keep dancing around, and by the time it comes it's going to be even more awkward than it was, so it's not a surprise because everybody wants to know," Durant told USA TODAY Sports. "But I'm taking it day by day with the Oklahoma City Thunder. That's my main concern. And whatever the future holds, I don't know, because I can't tell you the future. I'm going to take it a day at a time. I enjoy being here. I enjoy my teammates. I like the direction we're going in, and that's not just a cliché answer. That's real."

Durant also expressed how he feels about Oklahoma City. He spent over 7 years growing in that city, and he feels part of it. It's a huge part of his life, and he can't just give up easily on it.

"I've been here for seven years now...growing up in this city," said Durant, "When you spend so much time in one place, you feel a part of it, especially with some great years you feel a part of it. It's a huge part of my life, and I can't just come here and punch the clock, saying, 'Oh, I can't wait until July comes so I can leave'. I never felt that way."

He loves OKC; he always wanted to be a part of something bigger than basketball. He recognizes that this city has adopted him and he adopted the city as well as they have grown together.

"I love OKC," Durant said. "I always wanted to be a part of something bigger than just basketball. And what I told myself coming into the league was, 'This city is going to adopt me, I'm going to adopt this city, and we're going to grow together."

I think Durant made it clear regarding his future, and he is going to remain with the Thunder. I won't be surprised if he finishes his career with the Thunder. The love he has towards this city is extreme and his word usage in the interview makes it obvious. However, I can only see Durant leaving the Thunder at one point only that is when he finishes he gets the business done, which is bringing numerous self-awards for himself as well as championships for the Thunder.
