Sefolosha injured his calf Friday night versus the Grizzlies. He left in the 1st quarter and never returned.
Although his simple statistics do not prove his efficiency, Sefolosha is a complementary player who can fill most roles. The numbers may not show it but Sefolosha is a key player in the Thunder's success. Thabo is the second starter we have lost since the All-Star break. Deciding who will start in his place is a tossup between Jeremy Lamb and Reggie Jackson, who are both having career highs in points, rebounds, assists, and steals.
Both players have proven to be capable producers, but there is also a 3rd option, Andre Roberson, who has started in place of Sefolosha this season too.
The smarter choice would be to go with Lamb simply because he is a shooting guard, while Jackson is not. Roberson however is the wild card.
As for Thabo, his injury should not burden him for long. Expect him to return soon.
