Last night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers was ugly. The Thunder lost a 10 point lead in the final two minutes and couldn't manage to keep pace in OT. But would you be even more angry if I told you that the collapse was entirely the fault of a single player?
That's right. Russell Westbrook is almost entirely responsible for this collapse. Russ spent the end of this game stuck in 2008 mode, combining the absolute worst of his defensive inattentiveness and ballhog-ish tendencies. If you don't believe me, check the vid below:
It's bleak stuff. I really hope Russ can learn to balance himself out and remember to play within his team when it matters. Losses like this simply can't be afforded at this juncture.
