As you might know, the Thunder have had some crazy late October happenings in the past. In 2012, Kevin Durant and James Harden were seen at a Halloween party at a local club, literally the night before Harden was traded. Last year, we were witness to things like Nick Collison as Walter White from Breaking Bad. Still, the undisputed king of last year's costume party was Serge Ibaka, who was an amazing reproduction of Akeem from Coming to America.
This year, we've got a new set of costumes to critique. First up is Russell Westbrook, who dressed up as "Pornstache" from Orange is the New Black. It's probably the last character I'd ever expect Russ to imitate, which is what makes the costume so A-class. I mean, look at that 'stache. It probably made Steven Adams jealous.
Speaking of Adams, he was a pretty big participant as well. Check out his awesome Cast-away costume. Bonus points for the custom-painted Wilson and ridiculous Fed-ex box.
Continuing along the Tom Hanks theme, the costume godfather, Nick Collison, dressed up as Spengler from Ghostbusters. That was Rick Moranis' Harold Ramis' character, so the over-sized glasses are a nice touch. The converted leaf-blower as a neutrino wand is creative, but you feel like he could have stepped it up more in that area.
Anyway, here's the rest of the costumes for your viewing pleasure....
Andre Roberson completes the Ghostbusters ensemble with a costume of his own. I'm not sure what the backwards hat is all about, but he compliments Nick Collison rather well. Mitch McGary follows up with his recreation of Bane from Batman. The costume is pretty darn accurate, save for some color differences in the vest. It's kind of funny how he half took off his jacket for this picture, though. Did everyone really go around this party with long sleeves? Nick Collison must have had to set his thermostat to 65 that night.
Last and probably least is training camp invitee Lance Thomas as Finn from Adventure Time. Still, given how low the salary of training camp invitees is and how good of a show Adventure Time is, I'll give him a pass.
