Spurs win Series, Advance to Finals

The San Antonio Spurs beat the Memphis Grizzlies and are headed to their fifth NBA Finals.

The San Antonio Spurs have done it again, both completing a sweep and going to the NBA Finals. The Memphis Grizzlies went into this series with plenty of momentum their way, after winning four games in a row and defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder. Now, they made themselves look foolish, getting swept by the Spurs.

The MVP?:

The Most Valuable Player of this series was absolutely no doubt Tony Parker, point guard of the Spurs, who played unbelievable. In game two, he had 18 assists, and now in game 4 he scored a season high (regular and postseason) 37 points with six assists. He played out of his mind! He looked young again! There was rumors swirling of possible retirement after this season for Parker, but if he keeps playing this way, he'll be here until he's 50.

The Disappointment?:

The Memphis Grizzlies were a bitter disappointment, considering they completely shocked all sports fans with beating out the Thunder in five games. They were expected to come into this series and smack around the Spurs, ecspecially young man Tiago Splitter. Zach Randolph played average, but not great like he did in the Thunder series, and matching up with a new guy like Splitter, he looked scrubby.

The Spurs have a nice nine day break until they play again, which Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginoboli will take advantage of. They are set to play for the title with either the Miami Heat or the Indiana Pacers. The Heat have a slight advantage in that series, leading 2-1.
