Russell Westbrook is a "force of nature"

The Oklahoman's Darnell Mayberry gets Russell Westbrook to open up about his basketball philosophy in a more relaxed environment.

Russell Westbrook is 'a force of nature when it comes to competition' | The Oklahoman

I find it interesting that the pathological drive to win that drives both Kobe Bryant today and Michael Jordan two decades ago is also present in Westbrook, and yet for some reason he's seen as an immature malcontent.

The best way to evaluate a player's true value is to see what his opponents say about him.

"The only way I can describe it is he's a force of nature when it comes to competition," - Miami coach Erik Spoelstra

And:

"He's a dog," said Philadelphia guard Jrue Holiday. "He's always going to attack you. He's always coming at you. It's like it just never stops. He's just coming for you."
