It has been awhile but Beyond The Arc is back after taking the holiday off. That being said, let's not waste any time and get right into this week's edition.
Pass the Yams Award - Reggie Jackson to Steven Adams
Early on in the 4th quarter against the Blazers Reggie Jackson made a sweet 3/4 court pass, on which Steven Adams made an even better one handed catch. More and more Adams is beginning to impress me. He still has a long way to go, but plays like this are a good start.
Hope You Were Renting and Didn't Buy Award - Lawrence Frank
I mean...wow. The Nets are a complete and utter mess right now and the "reassignment" of Lawrence Frank is just another nail in the coffin of that team. I was waiting for Jason Kidd to blame the "Hit me" timeout fiasco on Frank on his way out the door.
Kill Bill Award - Russell Westbrook
Remember a few weeks back when Westbrook hit that insane deep three vs. the Warriors to take the lead with 2.3 seconds left only to see Andre Iguodala one up him with a game winning shot? If you do not see the video below.
Well Mr. Westbrook was able to administer a little revenge of his own on Black Friday to the Warriors.
I am a little bummed he didn't show up to the post game news conference wearing and yellow and black jump suit.
He Raided Westbrook's Closet Award - Matt Barnes and Paul George
We have a tie this week. I mean how could there not be a tie between Barnes and George after the two strong efforts they put forth. First we have Matt Barnes trying to bring some class to the bench with his camo blazer

Then you have Paul George rocking this amazing number on the same day as Matt Barnes after the game vs. the Clippers. The picture is via George's Instagram account:
My favorite part of this outfit is the shoes, hands down. I wish I had an extra set of hands so I give those shoes four thumbs up!
Stat Line of the Week - Kevin Durant
In a win vs. the Timberwolves last week KD messed around and got himself a triple-double going 32-10-12. He added 4 blocks and 4 steals to go along with 14-21 from the field and 3-4 from beyond the arc, putting KD in exclusive company.
Kevin Durant: 1st player with at least 30 pts, 10 rbds, 10 assists, 4 blocks, 4 steals in game since Michael Jordan vs Pistons, 1988

Yeah....that dude is a freak.
Danger Zone Award - LaMarcus Aldridge
I mean how could it not be LMA after what he did to the Thunder in the second half? He went for a season high 38 points in the game (26 in the second half) and grabbed 13 rebounds. Aldridge absolutely abused the Thunder in the second half and made them look silly as he kept hitting elbow jumper after elbow jumper. If you re-watch the game you can hear Aldridge saying "something something DANGER ZONE!" after every made basket.
Walter White Empire Scale - 8 (Last week 5)
Slow starts coming out of the half are becoming an issue for the Thunder and one that is starting to concern me. Couple that with the lapses in defense in the closing minutes vs. the Blazers and there are it looks like there are some real concerns about the team. But...they did roll off eight in a row before losing at Portland on the second game of a back-to-back. In that eight game run they had wins over the Spurs, Clippers, Warriors, Wolves, and Nuggets. How can you not be impressed by that stretch?
