Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook to Play in 2012 NBA All-Star Game

Allstarlogo2012_mediumThe NBA released the final roster for the 2012 NBA All-Star game this afternoon. As we previously noted, Kevin Durant was voted in as a starter. Today we learned that Russell Westbrook was selected as an All-Star reserve.

Durant will be starting his second consecutive All-Star game, while Westbrook will be playing in his second consecutive game as a reserve.

Reserve players were selected by each of the 30 NBA coaches. If any player is unable to play, David Stern will select his replacement. Coaches for each conference will be determined based on best record as of February 15. As of today, Thunder coach Scott Brooks is in the front running to be selected for the West, while in the East Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau is leading the way.
