Flea: Hey Thunder, can I sit in Durant's locker? Thunder: NO

New, comments

Red Hot Chili Peppers Bass man Flea wanted a private tour of the Thunder's locker room. OKC said, "I don't think so."

Rich begets rich, and privilege begets privilege. So it would seem that Flea, the bassist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, had a very reasonable request to tour the Thunder's locker room before their show. Just like Thunder management handled Li'l Wayne, to Flea they said, "I don't think so."

Naturally Flea reponded the only way a hard core veteran punk rocker knows how. By complaining on Twitter:

Noveau riche? How very un-Peppers-ish. Gotta giveitawaynow.

Kelly Dwyer says it best at Ball Don't Lie:

If the Chili Peppers owned their own studio or practice facility and rented out the space to other bands while they were away, the last thing Flea would want is some visiting musician to pull a bass off the wall hanger for a slap and tickle — or even just walking around the restricted areas. No matter how big a Chili Peppers fan that visitor might be. This has nothing to do with a newish team coming into money and Finals appearances. It's their building from October until June. It's yours for one night.

h/t to BDL for spotting the story.
