Today it was announced that OKC head coach Scott Brooks has been named the 2011 Sports Headliner of the year.

The award, presented by the March of Dimes, honors athletes, coaches, and teams who have brought national attention to the state of Oklahoma. The banquet, which will take place on April 18, will donate its proceeds will help fund the March of Dimes programs in Oklahoma.
Thunder players have received many accolades this year for their actions both on and off the court. It is good to see that their coach is getting recognized as well.
