Last night the Thunder put on a clinic on how to kill a team quickly, holding the Wizards to under 40% shooting and getting 32 fast break points. The best two of the night came off of a steal where Kevin Durant made the defensive play, gave up the ball quick to Russell Westbrook, and then waited for the magic to happen.
What makes the play so remarkable is it is almost as if Westbrook is laying out a personal challenge to his teammate - "think you can get this one?" He sets the pass high and wide, seemingly willing KD to go above and beyond the norm. This game was played on an opponent's court, but listen to the reaction of the crowd. They know what they just saw. It was the same sound that I made when I saw it - words were simply inadequate.
