Ah, another radio only game. It makes my blogging job a lot easier, but it makes the fan part of me die a little bit inside. Of course, if you're a real hard core Thunder fan, you could make the hour or two drive to Tulsa to see the game, but putting in 4 hours of driving for a 2 hour game doesn't seem worth it.
Nevertheless, for keen radio listeners and Tulsans, this will be a great game. The Grizzlies were, in part, the story of last season as they ditched Allen Iverson and made a run at .500 for the first time in years. The Pre-Season has treated them equally well, with the team currently having a league high 3-0 record. This could be one of the teams in the West that the Thunder will compete with for many years, especially with a lot of talent leaving the West.
The Thunder will be looking to rebound from a nasty loss to the Heat. There are several continuing storylines, like Jeff Green trying to find his identity, Cole Aldrich trying to prove himself as a scorer, and D.J. White potentially finding a spot in the rotation. We won't find out much without TV Coverage tonight, but we will get more clues from the box scores and other statistical tidbits provided through the wonders of the internet.
Prediction: Oklahoma City 99, Memphis 93
