Durant drops 47, but CP3 closes the door on Thunder Comeback

Unbelievable finish yet again for the Thunder. Sometimes you just have to pinch yourself to suspend the disbelief and come back to the reality of another Thunder loss. Oklahoma City got off to an absolutely horrible start tonight and trailed by as much as 21 in the first half before chipping away the entire 2nd half. Late in the 4th, the Thunder were able to tie up the game and the two teams continued to trade buckets to the end.

The real pressure packed moment came after the Thunder made a defensive stop, trailing by 3, and called a timeout with just over 15 seconds to play. The Thunder drew up a play for the en fuego version of Durant, and he did another one of those amazing pressure packed catch and shoot 3 pointers that went in and tied up the game. CP3 immediately pushed it up court, drove and spun in the lane as he put up the game winning shot with just under 3 seconds left. The Thunder with no timeouts left just had to inbound, push it up court, and shoot, and Westbrook got to about half court, threw up a shot, it bounced off the backboard and the front of the rim. It was Sooooo close to going in too, the crowd would have come unhinged!

Durant had an UNBELIEVABLE game once again as he flirted with the half century mark, scoring 47 points. He finished 16-27 shooting (4-6 from 3), 11-13 at the line, but only have 3 boards, and 2 assists to go along with it. He's clearly learned how to take over a game, and did just that in the 4th quarter tonight. I lost track of his exact total, but I think he scored over 20 points in the 4th quarter alone. His 47 points is a Career high, and this was KD's 3rd 40+ point game of the season. Sadly, all three of his 40 point efforts came in losses.
