Take a good look, because this is going to be the look on Carlos Boozer, and Mehmet Okur's faces tomorrow night when the Oklahoma City get their first victory against a winning team! Of course for that to happen, things will have to go substantially better than they did in the Thunders earlier meeting with the Jazz in Utah. It was a game in which the Utah Jazz doubled the Thunders first half point total and took a 58-29 lead into the locker room at halftime. The Thunder made up for it in the second half scoring 34 points in each of the final two quarters, but when you trail by nearly 30 at halftime, not even a 68 point second half will get you a victory. It definitely didn't that night as the Thunder lost 97-104.
There is some good news for the Thunder coming into this game, but of course there is bad news as well, so lets take care of the bad news first. The bad news is that the Jazz have won four straight games in impressive fashion, all of which came inside Energy Solutions Arena in Utah. The good news? Despite their current four game winning streak, the Jazz have dropped four straight games on the road.
The key to the game tonight is without question shutting down Mehmet Okur who is averaging a solid 24 points, and 9 boards per game over his last six outings and an improved 18ppg for the season. If the Thunder can force the Jazz to look elsewhere for points and rebounds, OKC will have a shot at taking down a very decent Utah Jazz team.
