Thunder Gameday: @ Golden St Warriors (13-29)

okcatgsThe Thunder will have to deal with their latest start time of the season as they make the long travel to the West coast to take on the Golden State Warriors, tip-off is 9:30pm local time. It will be the Thunder's first trip to Golden State this season, after splitting two games at home earlier in the year, including the New Years Eve victory. Both teams have had a pretty rough season thus far, but Golden State has the leg up on the record by 5 games. The total combined record for both teams is a staggering 21-63, so its pretty safe to say outside of Thunder/Warrior fans, no one else in the country will be paying attention.

The Warriors find themselves in a similar position to what the Thunder were in Sunday night, facing their first 3 game winning streak of the season. The only difference of course is Golden State isn't facing DWade and the Miami Heat, they are facing the leagues worst team (by record). The Thunder of course are playing much better of late having won 5 of their last 10 games, and are competing right with the competition each and every night be it a bad team or good, Oklahoma City is coming to play.

This is a great opportunity for the Thunder to get a win on the road, which would make number 3 on the season. The crowd in Loud City has been enjoying the wins at home lately (6-17 overall at home), but when we sit at home to watch road games, we're seriously lacking victories (2-17 overall on the road). Not only is this a great opportunity for a road win, its also a tremendous opportunity for back to back road wins as the team faces the Clippers on Friday, a 9 win team. If they can pull it off, it may just give them enough momentum coming home on Monday to take a game against a near .500 Nets team, followed by a not so good Grizzlies team. So when you take a step back and look at the possibilities here, the Thunder could be sitting on a 4 game winning streak (...and 6-1 in a 7 game span) when they head out to Utah next Friday.

Here's to getting off to a good start! Let's Go Thunder!
