Gameday: @ Detroit Pistons (15-11)
Well unfortunately for our boys, they are not quite the caliber of team that gets chosen to play on Christmas Day, so the Thunder will return to action tonight after getting Christmas Day off. The team is traveling to Detroit for the first time since the relocation, and the Pistons likely aren't going to roll over and begin their new history against this OKC team at 0-1.
The Thunder continue to play better of late, but even still, are having a hard time getting to all zeros and earning that big W. The teams last 3 efforts have all been really competitive for the Thunder against good teams, save for maybe against struggling Toronto, but the Thunder did pull the W in that one. The other two however, were against one of the leagues best teams, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and on Tuesday, the Atlanta Hawks. In both games the Thunder stayed competitive throughout and just let the opposing team slip away during the 4th quarter.
If the Thunder are to get a win tonight, they are going to need to outrebound the Pistons. If they can't beat them on the boards, they won't be able to win this game. The other key is going to be the Thunder shooting percentage, as the Pistons defense tends to force a lot of missed shots. So if we can dominate the boards on the defensive end, and get the ball in the hoop on the offensive end consistantly, they will definitely put themselves in position to take a win on the road.
Tipoff: 7pm Local Time.

It definitely looked like the Thunder were going to have another 4th quarter letdown in this one as the Pistons came out firing in the 4th, led by Allen Iverson. The Thunder though rallied and went on a 16-2 run and pulled to a tie with only a few seconds to go.
Unfortunately for the Thunder AI pulled off the miracle shot with .3 seconds left on the clock to take the lead. I think Westbrook did a brilliant job of defending him on the play, AI just made one of his ridiculous shots.
The thunder still had a chance with .3 seconds but the in-bound alley-oop went off the fingertips of Jeff Green as he went up for the wide open pass. Tough Loss.
