The Thunder had another Heartbreaking loss to a good team last night with their 2 point loss to the Houston Rockets. The Thunder continue to play better and compete despite still losing. At some point though, you gotta hope this team can get over the hump and start finishing these close games off. Tonight won't be any easier, even though the opponent should be. I think we're all trying to forget this weeks earlier road trip where the Thunder played back to back games home and away, winning the home game, and getting shellacked by 42 in the away the following night. The Bulls are in the middle of a 5 game home stand in which they've gone 2-1 so far, with the loss coming by 10 to Minnesota.
The Bulls aren't fooling me though, despite 2-1 in their last 3, their still 4-6 over their last 10. This is definitely a winnable game for the Thunder in all estimations. But, as mentioned earlier, you gotta worry about them playing back to back home and away's after they got trounced in Minnesota. But the T-Wolves are playing good basketball right now, so maybe the Thunder just ran into something they weren't expecting. Either way, this team needs a road win, and needs to be focused on getting a winnable one tonight. The Thunder are just 1-16 on the road this year (4-16 at home), so its about time they added to that total.
Another reason you'll want to check this game out tonight is that its the first matchup between last years Rookie of the Year Kevin Durant, and potentially this years Rookie of the Year Derrick Rose. What's more interesting though is the Matchup of Russell Westbrook and Derick Rose, thats the one I want to see. There's no question Derrick Rose is a stud, but what RW0 has brought to our team this year I wouldn't trade for anyone taken above him. He's definitely on his way to becoming the next great point guard in the league in my estimation.
