66ers Update: Special Thanks to Spirit Bank Event Center For Taking us to the Ballgame!

Stay connected for news and updates

sbec66One of the things we really wanted to try to do with this blog as well as cover the Oklahoma City Thunder, was to keep fans updated on our D-League Affiliate, the Tulsa 66ers, and its about damn time we got around to it, and for those of you guys reading from OKC, I hope you'll enjoy hearing about our boys down the road in Tulsa, cause they are out there playing just as hard as the Thunder, fighting for wins. We also want to throw a shout out to Robert over at the Spirit Bank Event Center for getting us great seats for tomorrow nights game against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, and an extra special thanks for getting us seats on $2 Beer/$1 Hot Dog night! Robert, and the rest of the folks at the new Spirit Bank Events Center are awesome, and you should get down to check out a game when you can! You can get great seats for low prices. We're talking a $275 Thunder ticket equivalent being about $25 bucks, so its well worth the money. Keep Reading for an update on our D-League Boys.

So yeah, while the Thunder play the Pistons tomorrow night, we'll be at the Spirit Bank Events Center watching the 66ers, but don't worry, we'll still watch the game (THANK GOD FOR DVR!) when we get back, and post our game recap as usual to keep you up to speed. We'll Also post about our experience tomorrow night at the Sixers game!

The Tulsa 66ers enter tomorrow nights game in much the same position as the Thunder. They have struggled this year but are starting to find their footing. Overall the team is 5-13, but more recently they have won 2 of their last 4 games, the last of which was a loss to Idaho last Thursday. So the team should be well rested and ready to play tomorrow night when the Vipers come to Tulsa.

If you're not familiar with the 66ers, but have followed college basketball in the state for years, you might recognize a LOT of names on this roster. Take a look at the Roster below and see if any of these names ring a bell, we think they might.
