The Thunder released their Pre-Season schedule today, and it looks like a Pre-Season schedule. It's hard to find much excitement in reading that we'll have to trudge through 7 games before the season begins, and that none of those games will be against Euroleague teams. But if you're a resident of Hidalgo or Wichita, I suppose this is pretty exciting.
I remember when Oklahoma City would only get occasional pre-season games, and we'd be excited about a team coming to town. Well, semi-excited. I think Globetrotter games were more well advertised, along with pretty much every other sports team in Oklahoma City. But still, I think OKC got some pretty good attendance for those games. And the Thunder are a pretty fun team to have come to town.
Anyway, the matchups are a mix of the good and the bad. We get to face the highly ranked Chicago and the lowly Bobcats, while the rest of the teams fall somewhere in the muddled middle. The final two games are back to back in different arenas, but the Thunder will have a week before their home opener on November 1st.
