How lucky is Oklahoma City that Perry Jones falls way down to the 28th pick? Lucky enough. I had Jones going top 10-17 on my list. But many teams saw him injury prone so they bailed out on him. What a break OKC got! Perry Jones fits perfectly with the Thunder roster and Big man like Kendrick Perkins who cannot score on daily basics (but Jones can), then you have Serge Ibaka who led the league in blocks last year (3.7). Jones can be able to mature in the Thunder lockeroom playing behind some of the greatest basketball players today in Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka, and James Harden.
Thunder grade on 2012 Draft: A-
OKC can be happy that they drafted Jones but they have to be cautious as well. They say maturity and injuries caused Jones to fall in the draft. And he barely made it alive in the 1st round. Some thought he was going to get drafted to the Miami Heat or the Los Angeles Lakers would make a trade to draft him somewhere in the 1st round.
