It did not take long for Kevin Durant to get his sea legs back underneath him after over a week off. This play, the second offensive play of the game, showcased an aspect of the Thunder's offense that may have no answer. Metta World Peace is a big and physical defender, but Durant proved here that MWP cannot keep up with him in open space. He turned the corner on MWP and swooped in over the outstretched arms of seven footer Andrew Bynum for the emphatic slam.
Addendum: I can't believe I missed this, but apparently everybody else did too. Thanks to Oklahoman editor Berry Tramel for reminding us that Durant is not left-handed. Wow.
