Game Thread #25: Oklahoma City Thunder vs Golden State Warriors
Oklahoma City Thunder at Golden State Warriors, Feb 7, 2012 9:30 PM CST
The Thunder are back in action tonight, traveling down the coast to take on the high scoring Warriors. Let's hope they still have some gas left in the tank after last night's overtime win. Let's see some chatter!
Be sure to stop by Golden State of Mind and check out their great site.

Impressive for the northwest division
with Minny winning tonight, every team is now over .500

Did I miss the rule
that says every Thunder opponent gets to shoot over 60% from the floor in the 1st quarter? This is ridiculous.
That said, weak on the rebounds. GS is one of the worst rebounding teams in the game; OKC cannot give them so many extra opportunities.

wow
that might be the best full court end of quarter play I’ve seen in a long time.
RW with the great pass up the court and KD came off of a high screen for an open 3.

16-2 run by OKC
and the bench is really coming together
getting lots of open looks and they’re good shots

Ellis with 30 at the half
I know he’s a great scorer, but…30? seriously Thunder?
It should have been a pretty good 2nd quarter, and then OKC fumbles again in the last minute, giving up a mini 7-0 run.
Gosh how I hate the way OKC always tries to get the 2 for 1 at the end of quarters. I’ve never seen it work for them in two seasons.

the 2-for-1 to end a Q
This almost always starts with: dribble-dribble-ill-advised-threeball. The baseball stat nerd in me has a gut feeling that the first long jumper plus something rushed with a few seconds left is so much wasted expected value compared to just getting one good shot that it’s laughably inefficient to try the two for one.
