The Thunder and Lakers were playing a taut game with the lead going back and forth. Neither team was able to develop a good offensive rhythm, and every basket required a dilligent effort. After a Laker sequence that involved Serge Ibaka climing halfway up the backboard to block a Derek Fisher shot, only for the Lakers to recover the ball and take a two point lead off of a Pau Gasol slam, it appeared that the Thunder might actually go into halftime facing a deficit.
Then this happened:
The Lakers never led again.
