Game Thread #17: Oklahoma City Thunder vs Detroit Pistons

Detroit Pistons at Oklahoma City Thunder, Jan 23, 2012 7:00 PM CST

The Thunder return from their little east coast jaunt to tackle the Detroit Pistons tonight. Detroit is ranked last in both points and rebounds, so let's see if OKC can make up a little ground in both of those areas.

Be sure to stop by SB Nation's Detroit Bad Boys when you have a moment.

I love going too, but...

tickets are a tough get now unless you dish out some cash. Best seat in the house, for me, is my lazy boy. I have instant replay on demand, cheap beer, and no line at the bathroom.

Well, I'm a season ticket holder back home, but....

as you know, I’m in Austria at the moment. I suppose a season of relaxing won’t be so bad, but still, there’s nothing like getting psyched at the biggest party in town. Even with the expensive food, long lines, and guys who sit with their legs three feet apart.

I really love how RW is running the fast break

He’s getting the outlet pass and then PASSING the ball up the court, not just dribbling it up. It changes the entire dynamic of the fast break.

true

Loving this defense right now

Two things impress me the most:

1) Pistons had the bonus at the FT line for over 7 minutes, and yet only go to the line 1 time after that. OKC didn’t get careless defensively

2) the high defensive effort is leading to a much more efficient offense. Fancy that!

by soonerbered on Jan 23, 2012 8:39 PM CST up reply actions

That was such a weird episode

The whole time was spent just trying to figure out where they were. “What are you sensing, counselor troi?” “Nothing.” “What do your sensors read, Mr. Data?” “Nothing.” “Well, what do you think, Dr. Pulaski?” “Duh, we’re in a laboratory mice maze!” “Of course, that must be it!”

Troi was useless...

when they needed her most. Remember at the end she said something like…“oh, I sense it now, it was too big for me to read before.” And she crashed the ship in the movie. Pulaski was just a bitch.

by soonerbered on Jan 23, 2012 8:46 PM CST up reply actions

Hahahahaha

Her betazoid powers almost never came when they needed them the most. They only served to provide additional dialogue and serve as a occasional deus ex machina. And yeah, Pulaski was a terrible addition.
