Anyone here?

I had a ton of trouble loading the main page. Wasn’t on my end.

Eugh

Started out settling for jumpers but it looks like they are starting to distribute a little more which makes me hopeful. Defense looks decent so far.

by belt on Jan 16, 2012 7:13 PM CST reply actions

Defense

looks great. Serge playing like a maniac. If Westbrook will quit pulling from Philly, we’ll be just fine.

by soonerbered on Jan 16, 2012 7:14 PM CST up reply actions

Not sure.

Didn’t even notice until you said something. It’s amazing the stuff I don’t pick up on, haha.

Anyone still having technical issues with the site?

Just let me know and I’ll get on it.

actually...

now yes, there is a problem. loading comments very slowly now

by soonerbered on Jan 16, 2012 7:25 PM CST up reply actions

lol

it could just be b/c our comments threads can get a bit anemic at times

I’ll see what I can do on the back-end though.

Good first quarter

Wasn’t overly impressed with the beginning but now they’re attacking the basket and not turning the ball over. Usually a recipe for lead for OKC.

by belt on Jan 16, 2012 7:29 PM CST reply actions

the key to remember

is that the Celtics are averaging LESS than 90 ppg. So the Thunder don’t need to worry about Boston going on 20-2 runs or anything like that. They just need to play from in front and limit Boston’s offensive rebounding.

The CelticsBlog guys don't know what's up with the jerseys either

Maybe OKC forgot to bring their blues, and begged the Celtics to switch!

by J.A. Sherman on Jan 16, 2012 7:32 PM CST reply actions

Or maybe..

That color green combined with our color blue would have ripped a hole in the space-time continuum

by soonerbered on Jan 16, 2012 7:37 PM CST up reply actions

looks like...

boston scouted that harden-collison give and go

by soonerbered on Jan 16, 2012 7:35 PM CST reply actions

Bench not looking great..

.. neither is Boston’s though.

by belt on Jan 16, 2012 7:35 PM CST reply actions

Jackson is playing hard

but you can really see what the team lost when Maynor went down. He just knew how to run an offense, getting guys into the right spots.

www.welcometoloudcity.com

by J.A. Sherman on Jan 16, 2012 7:37 PM CST up reply actions

yep

IMO maynor runs the offense better than any guard we have. Is he explosive like RW? No. But he runs the offense better.

by soonerbered on Jan 16, 2012 7:40 PM CST up reply actions

Sup

how’s the game goin?

by okluschen on Jan 16, 2012 7:43 PM CST reply actions

playing hard...

on defense. Looking sloppy at times offensively. Still in the lead. Starters are coming back in.

by soonerbered on Jan 16, 2012 7:46 PM CST up reply actions

RW going hard at Rondo

Russ always likes these top PG battles

www.welcometoloudcity.com

by J.A. Sherman on Jan 16, 2012 7:55 PM CST reply actions

Yeah..

The Celtics still haven’t found an answer for him attacking the basket either so this is a little frustrating.

by belt on Jan 16, 2012 7:59 PM CST up reply actions

Really love the way Westbrook is playing right now

Pushing the offense hard, making the Celtics work extra hard to get back on D.

www.welcometoloudcity.com

by J.A. Sherman on Jan 16, 2012 7:59 PM CST reply actions

Two great defensive plays to end the half

The offense is still spotty and settling for long shots, but defensively, they’re really snuffing out anything that the Celtics are trying to do.

www.welcometoloudcity.com

by J.A. Sherman on Jan 16, 2012 8:06 PM CST up reply actions

Love that dunk...

Good way to go into the half.

by belt on Jan 16, 2012 8:05 PM CST reply actions

yep

Westbrook is really playing in the moment. He helped force the steal, and then had the presence of mind to get the ball to his trailer for the slam.

www.welcometoloudcity.com

by J.A. Sherman on Jan 16, 2012 8:07 PM CST up reply actions

Wait, we made the dunk? From where I was sitting it looked like a miss

by okluschen on Jan 16, 2012 8:09 PM CST up reply actions

Maybe we're crossing signals

I’m talking about the one in the final minute of play where the Thunder got the steal, kicked it up ahead to RW, and then he fed Durant for the trailing slam.

www.welcometoloudcity.com

by J.A. Sherman on Jan 16, 2012 8:13 PM CST up reply actions

Oh, ok

I’m in a sports bar, I don’t really know what’s going on.

by okluschen on Jan 16, 2012 8:13 PM CST up reply actions

haha, cool

to help clarify it for you, for some reason, the home team is wearing their away jerseys ;-)

www.welcometoloudcity.com

by J.A. Sherman on Jan 16, 2012 8:16 PM CST up reply actions

Great steal to close

But Sefolosha shoulda given the ball up

by okluschen on Jan 16, 2012 8:05 PM CST reply actions

Barkley...

is a hater. He always has something negative to say about our team or our state. Kenny is talking sense though.

by soonerbered on Jan 16, 2012 8:11 PM CST reply actions

at least we know what to expect from Chuck

by contrast, the whole thing between Perk & C-Webb was just mystifying

www.welcometoloudcity.com

by J.A. Sherman on Jan 16, 2012 8:13 PM CST up reply actions

That was weird.

I’m still confused about that.

Is swearing allowed?

"Fuck this shit. Is this fucking season over yet? It is? Jesus H. motherfucking Christ on a stick! Get Nick Holt on the phone NOW! Stupid motherfucker forces us to score touchdowns on every possession, and we still can't win the Alamo Bowl? Hey, asshole! It's Steve Sarkisian. You're fucking FIRED, you FUCK!"

They’re always good in out of bounds plays, but OKC is leaving driving lanes wide open

Don't mind those last two threes..

Durant was wide open, always expect him to shoot those. Wish he would have knocked them both down though, that would have been big!

from RW. not so damn many jumpers

still too many 3-point attempts tho

only shooting 2-10, and they don’t even need to be taking them. there are spots to get closer.

OKC pulled it together there. but still, too many outside shots when they don’t need to be settling.

that we just lose our minds and starting playing like a rec league team.

by soonerbered on Jan 16, 2012 8:50 PM CST up reply actions

I don't know...

They are getting some pretty wide open looks from 3 and most of the misses are coming from the two players that I pretty much always expect to shoot a wide open 3. They just aren’t falling.

by belt on Jan 16, 2012 8:51 PM CST up reply actions

I agree

The threes aren’t really contested. Just maybe a bit too quickly taken while in rhythm.
