An attorney for NBA star and southeast Texas native Kendrick Perkins says he is innocent of all charges stemming from his weekend arrest.

In a press released obtained by 12 News HD, Beaumont attorney Langston Scott Adams says, quote "Mr. Perkins has maintained his innocence to the charges and is recovering at home with family suffering from injuries he received during the incident."

It appears this arrest is more serious than many of us thought it was. Or, his lawyer is blowing things out of proportion. Honestly, there's really no way to know at this point. But hopefully none of the injuries that he suffered are too bad, and we wish him luck in recovering.

This comes after the initial arrest and the details following it.
