sonics curse - CHOKERS!!!
They should be called the OKC Gentle Showers - They are so weak! I am sooooo glad this shitty ass team moved out of Seattle. I think I have seen this exact losing situation before. They deserve to lose. Has this douche laden team heard of DEFENSE??? Your team needs to ditch Westbrook and the no-name coach. You should really stick with college football. If it smells like fecal matter it is usually indeed shit!!!!

jordan went through this with the bulls before he beat the lakers in finals
a big problem is the thunder have 2 players and one of them is a shooting guard pretending to be a pg

Russ is a PG .... just new to it
the problem is Harden needs to start and we need to find another scorer who plays great defense to take thabo our of rotation.
How the hell did that happen? I am Trailblazer fan to the core but I love me some OKC THunder!!! Must be the Hometown pride I feel.

Disagree,
I like Harden off the bench, but playing starters minutes (like the Spurs used to do with Manu), otherwise our bench will have a tough time scoring and I really like when Harden is the number one option. But it would be really nice if Thabo (or someone to replace him) could get a little bit of offense going.

Kind of funny
A Seattle diehard making reference to a young team choking as if somehow 1994 ceased to exist.

Sonics, M's and Thunder fan here...
not aiming to be lumped in with the trolls, but you were off by a year. unless you blame the ‘94 M’s for the player’s strike.
respectfully, comparisons to the ‘95 M’s are way off base. I realize this was a reactionary, throw away type remark, and I support fully the practice of rudely dispatching with trolls, just saw two recs and thought: “huh?”

Correct me if I'm wrong here J.A.,
but I believe he is talking about the Sonics gaining the #1 seed, going up 2-0 yet losing in the first round to the Nuggets. I may be wrong though
WE'RE DANCIN!!!
Yeah
I was referring to the NBA and the Sonics’ collapse against the Nuggets, not MLB. Kind of interesting how you actually interpreted my comment in the context of the 1995 MLB players strike, but I can definitely see the connection, given the language I used.

makes more sense, my apologies...
the current thonics roster makes that team look ancient, hence I failed to make the connection.

Ugh.
I promise not all Seattle fans are like this. We really miss our team, and that tends to send some people to hate OKC. While I have some incredible disdain for Clay Bennett, it’s not fair for OKC fans to take the heat for us losing our team. Rough loss for you guys last night. Keep your chins up, you’ve got a solid team here.

Thanks man,
and most of us know you guys got a raw deal in Seattle and feel sorry for you guys. Myself living near Baltimore, I definitely know how rough it can be (Baltimore Colts). Hope you guys can get a new team in the near future.
WE'RE DANCIN!!!
that is an astute if seemingly surprising comment
Thabo is a good defender against a certain type of player – the big, strong, Kobe-type 2-guard. He’s actually pretty mediocre when it comes to staying in front of smaller, quicker players.

exactly,
i get frustrated when people proclaim Thabo to be this all-world defensive player. The only thing he is good at is preventing the post-up from opposing guards. He is stocky with a low base and good center of gravity, so he is hard to post-up.
However, he is very mediocre at staying in front of players, closing out on shooters, and help side.
The Thunder have three crucial offseason goals (in my opinion):
1st: teach KD to learn how to get better offensive position
2nd: work on Ibaka’s back-to-the-basket game and
3rd: the Thunder have to develop an offensive system so that RW and James Harden can play together, without leaving one of the two standing around watching. THey are so good that you are doing the team a disservice by just leaving one standing in the corner. Harden must become a 35 mpg player next season. Thabo will play the same amount, it will just be off the bench.

I agree with all this,
But I believe the offensive system should allow for more pick n roll action at the high post. If we where somehow able to create our system to include that for kd,russ; harden, russ; harden, any Pf then we become very dangerous . Also more movement is, needed a la the double screen curl for kd at the nail. Or thabo making more backdoor cuts then I like our offense a little more .
TheProblem is , our guys are so athletic and want to play iso all the time. The iso becomes habitually problematic fro young teams and teams with that go to shooter. They tend to use it a fallback play instead of the pick n roll or give n go.
