Does LeBron's "Decision" actually make Durant the better man?
So we all know the news, right? No, no, not about LeBron, that Durant signed a max extension and simply tweeted that he was thankful and blessed.
To me, last night's decision stirred a few reactions:
A) I'm going to love watching the Heat lose.
B) If the NBA were smart, they'd put their marketing power behind Durant and stay way from Miami Thrice.
C) Durant comes out looking like a true Basketball player. This all the more makes me root for the Thunder to emerge as an elite Western and NBA team.
Thoughts?

Absolutely
What makes it even better? Durant flees the praise as much as LBJ basks in it.

I have feeling this year Durant become the front runner as the NBA’s poster child. LeBron’s image is taking a nose dive priming this year’s MVP runner-up to quietly slide to the front. All the chatter about not only Durant’s skill but the character and classiness he’s displayed will not go unnoticed by the NBA and it’s sponsors.
Durant's basically got this year's MVP bagged already
He’s already got all the talent and potential to go far, but now it’s time to see if he has the leadership to lead his team to the championship. Knowing Durant and rest of the guys on this team, I’m not doubting it one bit.
To answer the question posed in the post title...
I could give you a list of things that make Durant the better man. This is just one more thing added to the bottom of it.

I'm not a huge NBA fan.
But when Durant was drafted by the Sonics he/whatever team he played for became my favorite. The whole LeBron “decision” just solidified that. LeBron and his antics were WAY too much for me. He’s an egotistical ass and I’m thankful Durant is the complete opposite of that. Durant is definitely the better man and will soon be the face of the NBA.
WILDCARD BITCHES!!! YEEEEHHHAAAAA!!!!!
That's exactly what I'm hoping for.
I think Stern is a smart, albeit crooked, guy. I think he sees what happened last night and says, “Yep, Kevin’s my guy now.” I dunno, I am definitely looking forward to get this season kicked off!

Their whole intro show/press conference just rubbed me the wrong way, they came across as especially douchey.
That said I’m looking forward to seeing them play together and making this work. Despite the massive egos these guys are unselfish on the court so should be fun to watch.
I’m definitely hoping for some Heat-Thunder finals matchups.
I do wonder what guys like KD, Kobe, Duncan, etc were thinking while watching that intro thing/press conference, I mean their real response not what they’ll say to the media when asked.
I'd say yes, but perhaps also not fair to judge?
The situation is so much more than meets the eye. While I personally despise LeBron for skipping town— especially when he said in a ESPN magazine feature (ironic?) four years ago that he would never leave the Cavs to go ring-chasing— he also obviously got bad advice.
Plus that opportunistic (stick expletive here) Jim Gray coaxing James to do the interview anyway. Obviously the buck stops at “The King”, but it’s too easy to call KD the better man IMHO.
But I’d take Durant any day, please. Oh, and first-time-long-time, so hello!
Durant...
is getting a lot of positive press about the way he signed his deal.

I will root for Melo and Durant every time
LeBron and the “Terrible Three Turkeys” make me wish I stayed away from NBA Basketball.
I grew up a Denver Rockets/Nuggets fan and left the NBA when Bernie Jerkerstaff tore my Nuggets apart. I came back two years ago when I went to a Nuggets game with my brother. I loved it when OKC got a team since I live in the Panhandle (see you all soon).
I just think the way James, Wade and Bosch have tried to “rig” the league into their little mafia stinks and I will root for anyone but the Heat.
I hope the Heat don’t even qualify for the Playoffs and the Terrible Three Turkeys are embarrassed as the low life’s they are. This is not good for the game, this is as bad as when that ref came out and said he gambled and helped throw games.

After Lebron’s highly publicized TAO event, all this Durant hype just became so much more relevant.
