Team USA - Blue vs. White Scrimmage
The Team USA Scrimmage is tonight on ESPN 2 or ESPN 3 if you prefer the web. The game tips off at 9PM Central Time. Russell Westbrook and Jeff Green's Blue Team will face Kevin Durant's White Team. Let's hope OKC is well represented tonight.
Rosters Announced for 2010 USA Basketball Showcase
Featured on the USA Showcase Blue team are Chauncey Billups (Denver Nuggets); Tyreke Evans (Sacramento Kings); Rudy Gay (Memphis Grizzlies); Jeff Green (Oklahoma City Thunder); Brook Lopez (New Jersey Nets); Kevin Love (Minnesota Timberwolves); O.J. Mayo (Memphis Grizzlies); JaVale McGee (Washington Wizards); Rajon Rondo (Boston Celtics); and Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder).Playing for the USA White squad are Tyson Chandler (Dallas Mavericks); Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors); Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder); Eric Gordon (Los Angeles Clippers); Danny Granger (Indiana Pacers); Andre Iguodala (Philadelphia 76ers); Lamar Odom (Los Angeles Lakers); Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls); and Gerald Wallace (Charlotte Bobcats).
Who's going to be left behind in Vegas? Here's who is on the Team USA bubble - ESPN
The team hierarchy was still saying Friday that the plan is to head into training camp with 14 or 15 players, though it left itself a ton of wiggle room. So don't be surprised if that number is as high as 16 after the cuts are made sometime next week. After four days of practices in which the roster shrunk from 22 to 19 as Amare Stoudemire, David Lee and Robin Lopez were either forced out or withdrew, here is the latest intelligence regarding who is on the bubble, who is close to being on the bubble, and who isn't...Jeff Green, F
One of only three true power forwards remaining, and the shortage of big men works in his favor. But Lamar Odom provides more experience, and Kevin Love has been a better player thus far.Kevin Durant, G/F
The face of the team, the best player on the team, the only guy who can reasonably be called a lock at this point to also make the 2012 Olympic team.Russell Westbrook, G
His ability to play off the ball, which he did at UCLA, is huge. And his defensive tenacity and floor leadership have both brought rave reviews thus far.
Sheridan: Boston Celtics' Rajon Rondo gambling with Team USA - ESPN
First, of course, Rondo needs to make the final 12-man roster, which is not a given on a team that is loaded (overloaded, really) with talented point guards. And with one of those spots seemingly destined to go to Chauncey Billups, Rondo is competing against the past two Rookies of the Year (Tyreke Evans and Derrick Rose) and a playmaker in Russell Westbrook, whom team insiders say has excelled tremendously over the first two days of practice at Team USA's minicamp.

the way things are going it looks like RW0
might be having a huge Third year a la KD……. just imagine if Harden improves from season one to two like his predecessors( KD, RW0)? Would that make us the best team in the league in two years? The Thunder have done extremely well in growing those youths ….. Lets hope the pattern continues with Cole…
How the hell did that happen? I am Trailblazer fan to the core but I love me some OKC THunder!!! Must be the Hometown pride I feel.
I'll Say it now so you guys can know I'm a true follower: "In Pioli I Trust"

The tooth fairy must have a thing for Cole Aldrich.

I'd really love it if all 3 guys make the squad

I think his versatility helps him
but yeah, he’s not doing a lot tonight.

If McGee plays like that all year.
Wall is ROY. No contest.

I think Wall has a good shot anyway
but McGee playing well certainly helps.

i said this a few weeks back during summer league but as much as we love Harden, imagine this team with Curry.
I think Curry is awesome
but I think comparing his season to Harden’s is misleading, since they were asked to have different roles on their respective teams.

Yep. Westbrook and Love should be on the team.
UCLA fans should be proud.
Mayo was knocking down shots earlier. Could he be the zone buster?

Olympiakos is tracking the market for a replacement for Sofoklis Schortsanitis, who is close to land in Panathinaikos. The new target, according to the Greek media, is Nenad Krstic. The 26-year-old Serbian center, though, is under contract by the Oklahoma City Thunder until 2011. Krstic averaged 8.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in his second season with the Thunder.
I wouldn't be upset with that.

I really hope Odom doesn't make the team.

For leadership?
Perhaps Rose and Odom can supply gummi bears for the rest of the roster.

That player of the game trophy was lame.
I think I have a couple them in my kitchen. Why does Durant get the lamest trophies?
